Lifespan Integration Level 1 Training UK

Learn the core Lifespan Integration timeline method and start using it safely and effectively with your clients. Our 2-day Level 1 training gives you a clear, gentle and structured way of working with trauma, attachment wounds and developmental disruption, using a method grounded in how the nervous system naturally integrates experience.

Our LI therapist trainings usually take place in London, UK. If you wish to request a training in your area, please contact us.

Developing Core Clinical Skills

By the end of Level 1, you will understand how to:

  • Stay deeply attuned to your client throughout timeline repetitions
  • Adapt the pace, length and delivery of cues based on the client’s state
  • Maintain safety by keeping clients within their window of tolerance
  • Use brief, targeted interventions between timeline repetitions
  • Support the clearing and integration of implicit bodily memory
  • Strengthen self-structure in clients, including those who are fragmented or unstable

You will learn how the combination of therapist attunement and structured timeline repetitions helps clients experience internal continuity, present-day safety and a more stable sense of self.

Who This Trauma Therapy Training Is For

Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Psychologists, Psychiatrists and any qualified psychological professional interested in a gentle, body-mind and neuroscience-informed approach to trauma work will benefit from this training.

No prior LI experience is required.

Level 1 Protocols: What You Will Learn

In Level 1, you will learn the core protocols that form the foundation of Lifespan Integration. These protocols give you practical, structured ways to support regulation, process trauma, and strengthen internal stability in your clients. Each one teaches a different aspect of how the nervous system integrates experience and recognises safety.

Here are the Level 1 protocols you will learn:

🌱 Baseline Protocol

The starting point for most LI work. This protocol supports overall nervous-system regulation, helping clients settle, organise and create a more stable internal foundation. It is gentle, grounding and essential for preparing the system for deeper therapeutic work.

🛟 PTSD Protocol

Designed for more recent accidents or traumatic events, this protocol helps the system integrate shock, update memory and return to a regulated state. It allows clients to process overwhelming experiences without having to relive the trauma.

🤝 Relationship Protocol

This protocol supports clearing emotional residue from past relationships that still affect the client today. It helps release old patterns, relational imprints and unresolved feelings in a safe and structured way.

⏳ Timeline from Explicit Memory

A simple trauma-clearing protocol used when the client has a clear, conscious memory of a difficult experience. It helps the body recognise that the event is over, reducing reactivity and supporting integration without needing to revisit the emotional charge.

Experiential Practice Sessions

Every Level 1 training includes:

  • Three supervised practice sessions
  • Opportunities to practise the LI Baseline protocol
  • The chance to experience the method personally
  • Supportive feedback from trainers

All three practice sessions must be completed to receive credit for the training. These sessions are essential for integrating the method and leaving with real, embodied confidence.

See Results Right Away

This professional training for therapists UK gives you a method you can start using right away. Many therapists describe experiencing:

  • Faster settling and regulation in clients
  • Clearer direction in trauma work
  • Less overwhelm in sessions
  • A method that feels gentle and respectful for both client and therapist
  • More confidence with attachment-based and developmental trauma

This is often the training where therapists say, “This finally makes sense of how trauma heals.”
