Our keynote speaker will be:
Dr Nuri Gené-Cos, certified LI therapist and consultant, and Clinical Lead of the National Specialist Trauma and Dissociation Service (TDS), Maudsley Hospital.

Dr Nuri Gené-Cos is an expert in the area of Complex Trauma and Dissociative Disorders. She has worked in the area of Complex Trauma for the last 25 years, initially in the Traumatic Stress Service (TSS) which became, 17 years ago, the National Specialist Trauma and Dissociation Service (TDS). She is a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist, Neuropsychiatrist and Trauma Therapist (EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Lifespan Integration). She completed a PhD in the area of anxiety disorders including PTSD, Panic Disorder (PD), Non-Epileptic Seizures (NES) and epilepsy. She has taught in a series of forums, nationally and internationally and has published various book chapters, research and articles. She has a number of publications including an article in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Group Therapy in the Treatment of Complex PTSD (http://jscimedcentral.com/
Nuri has been fundamental in bringing LI into the NHS due to the success her team has had working gently and effectively with complex trauma without fragmentation. On the back of this, other NHS teams are being funded to learn about how LI is successful where other modalities are causing fragmentation.
Nuri will share insights from her specialist clinical practice at the Maudsley, and her keynote presentation will explore:
‘The use of Lifespan Integration with Complex Trauma and Dissociation’
This promises to be a fascinating opportunity to learn from one of the leading clinicians working in this field and to consider how LI can be used effectively with some of our most complex clients.
We're also pleased to confirm presentations from:
Sally Smith
‘Making LI Effective with Limited Sessions’

Sally is a certified LI therapist. Prior to training as a psychotherapist, Sally practised for 28 years as an NHS General Practitioner. Alongside her private psychotherapy practice, Sally continues to work with the NHS on practitioner health, appraisal, and educational supervision.
Sally will be sharing her wisdom on Making LI Effective with Limited Sessions. Drawing on her extensive experience as both an LI therapist and a former NHS GP, Sally will explore how maintaining a clear focus on the therapeutic goal can help therapists work effectively when time is limited. This practical session will offer valuable insights into making every session count while remaining true to the depth and principles of Lifespan Integration.
Eva Marie Chadwick
‘Dramatherapy and Lifespan Integration: Developing Practice in a Forensic Setting’

Eva is an LI therapist, registered Dramatherapist and clinical supervisor, with extensive experience of working with adults and young people within in-patient psychiatric hospitals, forensic services, and private practice. Eva has a background as an actor and director and has developed applied theatre and film projects alongside therapeutic work. She has pioneered dramatherapy services within schools for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), Early Intervention in Psychosis service (EIP) and Offenders transitioning into the community. Eva wrote a chapter in Arts Therapies and Sexual Offending: 'Beauty and the Beast: Trauma-informed Dramatherapy with a male patient in a forensic setting’ which describes the process of integrating practices for a patient with complex trauma.
Eva will share her powerful work with forensic clients through the lens of Lifespan Integration. She will explore how individuals who have committed extreme acts violence towards themselves or others are often driven by deeply fragmented systems that do not recognise that time has passed. Eva will demonstrate how the Timeline process can help clients with complex trauma become more integrated, developing not only greater internal cohesion but also a deeper capacity for compassion towards themselves and their victim-perpetrator parts. A thought-provoking session on trauma, integration, and the possibility of profound change.
Damian Grainer
‘Safe Destabilisation and Re-Coherence: Field Psychology, Lifespan Integration and Non-Ordinary States’

Damian is an LI therapist and psychotherapeutic counsellor with over 20 years' experience in private practice. Originally trained in Psychosynthesis, he integrates trauma-informed psychotherapy, attachment theory, addiction recovery and psychospiritual development in his work. Alongside his clinical practice, Damian incorporates Qigong, sound and other embodied approaches to support regulation, coherence and deeper integration.
In his thought-provoking presentation, Damian will introduce Field Psychology, an emerging framework that complements Lifespan Integration by exploring how healing unfolds through the restoration of coherence. Drawing on themes of trauma, attachment, dissociation and psychological transformation, he will consider how safe therapeutic relationships can support profound and lasting change.
Damian will also explore the role of non-ordinary states—including psychedelic and somatic experiences—and discuss the importance of practitioner presence, pacing and ethical holding in facilitating safe integration. This presentation offers a fresh perspective on the conditions that allow deep therapeutic updating and invites us to think more broadly about how healing occurs.
Interactive Sessions:
Facilitated Group Discussions
Following the presentations, there will be opportunities to take part in small group discussions, allowing you to explore key themes in greater depth, ask questions and share clinical insights with presenters and fellow practitioners. We also hope to include a collaborative case discussion or supervision session.
LI Quiz with Nikki Sale

To round off the day, LI therapist, Nikki Sale will lead an interactive team-based LI Quiz. This is less about testing your knowledge and more about bringing people together through shared fun, conversation and a little friendly competition. With Nikki's unique blend of warmth, humour and insight, it's sure to be an enjoyable way to celebrate the day, with prizes, laughter and opportunities to strengthen connections within the LI community.
The conference will offer opportunities to connect with fellow practitioners, exchange ideas, share experiences and celebrate the continued growth of Lifespan Integration in the UK.
